Need help with a 8.5" Grizzly and SpecOps / Knoxx Stock

Thanks. I really should video or photograph when I take these things apart. Now to fix it up right tonight and get that baby to the range.
 
When I installed my Knoxx stock I had the same problem as you but all I had to do was run a 1/4" x 28 tap into the adapter nut and it removed some paint from inside the threads. Once I was done running the tap through a few times the Knoxx stock screwed on without a hitch.
 
Update: Had the Griz to the range yesterday at lunch and ran it through a box of bird shot, slugs and buck shot. It works like a charm but patterns a little high. I added a snap on fiber optic front sight on it which looks great but isn't as handy as a set of ghost rings.

I noticed that I need to hold onto the forestock harder as the little bump on the bottom of the forestock, the one meant to keep one's fingers back from the muzzle, tends to slam my index finger on my left hand. Perhaps a firmer grip and holding it back about an inch might help. This all might be due to the Knox stock and the fact that the gun travels a bit during recoil.

I note that the pump action is not as smooth on the Griz as it is on my tactical Winchester defender. I put that down to the Grizzly being a clone and brand new. Perhaps it'll smooth out a bit with time and round count. When I disassembled the grizzly for its initial cleaning, one of the shell catches fell out so I had to hold it in place carefully when reassembling. I wonder if it is dragging a little?

It will smooth out nice with use. I install a red dot sight on the rail so i can zero it. I installed a foregrip to keep my thumb away from the muzzle & better control

Oh ya, It carries 14 shells now!
