Supid me was taking apart an old Danish Krag-Jorgensen, the one with the cooling jacket over the barrel. The front sling did not want to go over the front sight and off the barrel. I pulled the ring apart and the darn thing snapped into two - must have become very brittle with use or age. I suppose looking for a replacement part would be a waste of time.
I would appreciate any advise as to
1) how to braze/solder the two pieces together so that the least amount of repair shows, or
2) recomend a gunsmith who can do that nicely.
