today at a local gunshop i got a old stevens model 70 visable loader .22LR for 25$ it functions OK but havent fired it yet, just for what i can see its missing the spring guide for the tube magazine. i would like to disasemble it to properly clean it and make sure everythings there so if anyone has any helpfull tips or a exploded schematic for this gun it would be much apreciated so i make sure i dont bite off more than i can chew when taking this apart.

just by droping a round in the tube i noticed when i cycle the action the round doesnt pop up into the ramp, and when i cycle the action back the round doesnt flick off the firing block so does anyone have any idea why it doesnt?

Dont want to scare you but these guns are the worst possible gun to disassemble. I had one here a while back that was a $190 basket case. I traded it for a $60 shotgun just to get rid of it. If its just the magazine tube then start there. It would be the easiest fix if thats the problem. Good luck with yours, they are very complicated.

i couldnt keep my hands away from it so i decided to give it a shot at taking it apart. there where a few little things i had troubles puting back in with my fat fingers but i got all the surface rust and dust out from the inside since it was siting at the gunshop since 1990. i noticed in the inside it is missing the feed pamp peice and thats all i can see that seems to be mising. defantly isnt the most easiest gun to take apart. cant wait to test it, probly will just keep it as a single shot.

bruce at Misty gun works in Alberta was at the Swift Current , Sk gun show this last week end , and he had parts
for 2 of these he got with broken wood.
At moment, I don't have his info,
