Need help with AR-15 lower build

I just got some parts in for a lower build. The issue is that the ATI end plate won't fit onto the buffer tube at all. It is supposed to fit all commercial and milspec tubes, not that it should matter as the threads are the same. Two different castle nuts fit the tube just fine so I don't think that is the issue. Any thoughts? I will measure both with a caliper when I get home just to make sure I am not losing my mind.

Not all so called mil-spec are mil-spec by some companies unless it is from a reputable OEM. Google for prints and measure. ATI are hit and mis even with tubes.
 
So it was the little tab that was too wide. A couple minutes with a file fixed it well enough. Hopefully it doesn't rust (I'm assuming it is steel) but at least the tube is aluminum.
