Help!! Just bought a new Fenix TK-11 and ALG-01 flashlight mounting ring. The flashlight works fine on its own, but it appears that the mounting ring is 1mm or 2mm too long. When trying to use the mount, I can't tighten down the tailcap enough to get the light to function.

The following picture is taken off their website, and isn't my flashlight model, but the idea is the same. The wide bumpy threaded ring goes on first (forgive me if there is a technical term for this) after the mount, then the tailcap. If I remove the bumpy ring, then the mount is useless and the flashlight just slides freely through it. I have tried putting on the ring both ways, I have tried the mount both ways. It just won't work for me.

Has anyone run into this? Any help or suggestions are greatly appriciated!

are you sating the flashlight is loose in the mount, or the mount takes up more space on the flashlight tube so you cant put the light together?

it looks like a 3 piece kit, maybe take out the middle section.

there should be a plastic spacer... looks like a black plastic tube with a slit down one side, that fits between the outside of the flashlight tube and the inside of the mount...
you also need to remove the" wide bumpy threaded ring" as it is not needed when weapon mounting the flashlight.

look in the box, otherwise call the store..

- Mount takes up more space than there is room for it on the flashlight, by what appears to be about 1mm, and prevents me from fully screwing on the tailcap
- Can't remove middle section, it is a one piece mount (as shown in PBRs pic above)
- the plastic tube is designed as a spacer for mounting the PD35 flashlight which is smaller in diameter

I haven't tried mounting yet without using the wide bumpy threaded ring. Any pics I've seen or a review on YouTube show the ring being used.
