I just bought a used caesar guerini tempio syren trap. According to the manual, it said push the safety/selector to left or right to select the top or bottom barrel.
I tried but it won't move to left or right or I even don't think it is the right way to select the barrel.
Please help.

Yes, I did. The safety just doesn't look like can be moved left or right.
It is my first o/u. Would the gun doesn't come w this selection option?

Many guns don't have a barrel selector and the safety just moves forward and backward but I would have imagined that a Caesar Guerini would have a single selective trigger. Have you looked at their website to see if your model is optioned without a selective trigger?

The safety probably won't move left or right unless all the way back in the "safe" position first. It's always possibele that the selector is frozen by corrosion internally and can't move. Bought a Beretta like that one time, it can happen to any gun used in the rain frequently.

There's nothing wrong with your gun. The safety in your picture does not have a barrel selector. A CG with a barrel selector will have a small button in the middle of the safety that can be pushed right for the top barrel, left for the lower. A non-selectable trigger or having the selector locked out is not unusual in a trap gun that is offered with a combo option.

Arietta is correct, your gun does not have a barrel selector. If it did then it would be the same set up as Beretta where the selector is in the middle of the safety switch. On the contrary to Arietta, my CG guns are button left for the bottom barrel and right for the top barrel, again same as Beretta.

You're right. Post corrected. Thanks.

Thank you for everyone's insight. I thought I broke it.
My next question, so it will always shoot from the bottom first and it has no way to select to shoot from the top barrel? Or any other way to work Ard that, pls?

If your gun doesn't have a barrel selector, then the bottom barrel will always fire first

That manual is really confusing. I'm surprised that it didn't mention the model w out selector.
Thanks everyone solved the mystery.
