Need help with my HK USP .40

At least it wasn't a HK P9S! Those roller delayed blowback pistols are complicated. Took me a couple days to get mine back together.

Tip of the hat to you for taking on the HK PS9. I don't believe that there is anyone in the country qualified to work on these. Although not in business, I am a certified gunsmith, and would avoid this one. I see a US HK Armorer as the only option. A very expensive one at that.

You are correct Bettiguitar, there are no HK armorers in Canada certified to work on P9's that I am aware of and only one in the USA. A recently retired USMC Major by the name of James Williamson. Certified HK Master Armorer on the P9, P7 and sub-gun series firearms.

My challenge was exporting a P9 to the US since it is deemed prohibited (12.6). I went as far as going through DFAIT to get an export permit and then a re-import permit and a BATF Form 6NIA; the process was FUGLY at best. Long story that I won't get into.

In the end, I decided to keep it in country and do the disassembly/reassembly myself. Won't happen again. I was lucky enough to have found a copy of the HK P9S armorers manual which provided about 80% of the info I needed.
