Hi guys

I recently bought a Winchester model 12 on CGN, my usage is Wild Bunch stages in SASS.

I took it today to the range to get in touch (!!) with it and I was suprised it didn't get more than 2 cartridges loaded in the pump barrell.

Anybody ever had this experience ?

Thanks for your help

Nevada.

Did you check to see if you had a plug in there?

Seems like that's the 'issue' if you can't load more than 2 shells in the magazine.

Previous owner probably hunted waterfowl with it.

Without a plug, you should be able to have 6+1 rounds in the gun total.

Check for a plug. If it was hunted with it will have been limited to three rounds. Two in the magazine, one in the chamber. And as long as you’re “getting in touch with it” the proper terminolgy for the “pump barrel” is magazine tube.

The obvious first response would be to check for a plug. The first part of "getting in touch " with a firearm should be to learn a bit about the firearm, and the fact that it is common for the magazine to be plugged to restrict it to two rounds.

Any update on this?

If the shotgun is 'defective' (not a plug issue) I'll buy it... need more for parts tom maintain these two :)

I may be getting a few model 12 from a estate to move, most plane jane 2 3/4, one is a h.goose gun 3', but everything up in the air.
You should have a plug in the mag tube as others have said.
