Need Help With New 10/22

I put the mount scope on my new 10/22 and one of the four screw holes seems to be stripped. Is there anything I can do or will three screws hold the scope fine.

The three screws should be enough for a rimfire. Maybe if you haven't already, remove the three screws and put some Loctite threadlocker on them. Canadian tire has had some good sales on tap and die sets lately so you could wait for a sale again and buy a set to make a new thread. A little pricey for a 10/22 but a good excuse to buy some new tools.

Put loctite on it regardless, they will work loose. I have stripped two I think and it hold fine with loctite. The aluminum is too soft and the threads too small.

Go with blue loctite and just do three screws. The tap for that little bugger will be expensive and you won't find it in any tool kit!!
