Hi everyone,
I bought a MO3-2 night vision monocular, used, and when I went to test it, a funny thing happened. It worked with the daylight cap on (the one with the tiny hole so as to not let in too much light in) in the light.
Then I tried it in the dark with the cap off. I Tried it both inside (completely dark room at night with the IR illumination on) and outside (fairly decent moon out, IR on and off) - same results all the time - there was only green static on the screen, no image whatsoever.
So then I put the daylight cap back on, and went into the dark room, and turned the lights on, and it worked again.
Does anyone know what is going on with this thing? Is it worn out or broken or am I doing something wrong?
I'm just trying to figure out what the problem is before I go back to the guy who sold it to me. Mayby it's a simple fix? Mayby it's broken?
If anyone has some insight, it would be appreciated. A night vision monocular that only works in a well lit room with the daylight lens cap on isn't much good to anyone.
