Im planning on buying this gun ( im on the waiting list ) and I have a few question:

For the grip, I though about vz grips:
Can i buy directly from the website or their is sellers around in Canada?
Do you guys have a vz grip? Do it feel good? what the kind of vz grip you got (operator II,recons, etc)

For the mags, I though about wilson combat mag
There are some at brownells but I wonder if i could buy magazine in USA or ill have to pay ridiculous price at border.
Now what the difference between those two?

That my second handgun that why I dont really know about those stuff.
My first one being a 6 inch barrel 422 of s&w that I got brand new for 175$ ( super deal )

Thank you,
Charles

^^ I like the Ruger's wood grips too. You can buy grips directly from VZ.

Lots of positive feedback on the Wilson Combat 47D series mags. You can buy a 3pak from Brownells for $99.99 just makes it under the $100 mark. It's a hit an miss with customs. Worst case you get charged anywhere from $17-$25. Just make sure to comment "USPS for $5.75" in the comments section on Brownells.

Wanstalls used to carry Wilson Combat mags but I cannot find them anymore on their website. Give Gary a call and see what he can do for you.

I've heard really good things about DLASK mags and SAM Mags (Wolverine supplies). They're most probably all made by ACT (Made in Italy).

I've got the DLASK mags. Hard to pass those up for the price. They seem to feed reliable. Someone on CGN said they crack when dropped but I can't verify that? Could be an issue if you shoot IPSC, IDPA etc. if that is the case.

I never leave anything alone.......

I ordered a bunch of different 1911 grips from vz on line

well, if you took your restricted course you would know that you can have 10 rounds in an auto pistol is all .45 or 9mm.....
I have VZ recon II's like these. Very aggressive, feel great. Real positive. I got them from a guy in Canada. I can't find his website anymore.

Sorry for not remembering every details -_- Though it was only for 9mm

The 47D magazine has been around for a long time and they are proven. The ETM mags are newer and improved with thicker stainless mag tube, stronger spring, different base plate and a different look. The cutouts on the side of the mag were moved towards the rear to make for a stronger mag. Both mags use the same follower. I always bought the 8rd 47D's and never had a problem. I don't really like the baseplates on the ETM's but that's personal preference.

As others have said about the factory grips....I like them as well. No itch here to change them. To each their own. As for magazines, don't know anything about Wilson products but if you settle for some nice 8 round mags, SFRC sells ACT-MAG (8 round) for 21.99....currently sold out but I bought 2 for my SR1911 and they work well. Maybe look into those if a brand name (and 10 rounds capacity) isn't a big deal to you.
