Need help with Savage model 11 Bolt Baffle

That "baffle" next to the bolt handle is loose on my Savage. Obviously , something fell out/unscrewed itself. What am I missing, where do I get another?

2 Detent balls and a spring hold the spacer in place . On my stevens 200 not sure if the model 11 is the same .

It can get loose from wear and sometimes gets loose pretty quick on some models.

The part is less than 20 bucks in the States shipping included if I remember and several places carry it. Savage online store, Brownells and Numerich.

It is a gas baffle to keep any gas from the cocking pen area(from a blown primer, case head separation from getting in your eyes) with a couple of ball bearings and a spring. Sounds like the spring is weak on yours.

Order part, decock firing pin(push cocking button toward bolt head), twist CCW and push baffle forward til it comes off, resinstall new one doing the opposite.
