I have a squires bingham model 16R that I can get maybe a couple of shots off and then won't fire. It seems like the rebound lever won't catch the firing pin. I can't figure out why this is happening. Does anybody have any ideas?

Yep.

I had the exact problem. I think I have a parts diagram I can post for you later tonight. If I remember correctly, there is a small cross pin associated with the bolt that gets bent very easily. It took me a while to figure it out. The trick is getting it back together. I do recall how fristrating it is dropping the bolt back into that thing!

If I recall correctly, after looking att the parts diagram in the down loadable pdf here:

I believe my problem was with the pin in the rebound lever being slightly bent. I recall taking it out and straightening it out in a vise and it worked fine. You should also check to make sure that the screws holding the trigger housing to the receiver are tight. I ended up using JOB weld on my screw to hold it in place.
