Looking for your help in finding a load or factory ammo for my T3 Hunter in 300wsm. Have limited time so I need your input with what has worked for you dudes. Specifically looking to use 180 gr partitions or 180 gamekings. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

I use 150 gr sierras and having been playing around with loads if you look in here a bit there are a few posts on recipes for 300 wsm. Just use the search option. I asked the exact question a few months ago. Best is to find the min load for what you got and just try to get out and test a few different loads. Plus try in the reloading forum that's where to get these answers.

Buy a few boxes of different ammo and see what shoots best. IMO, go with Winchester Supreme 180gr Accubonds or the Elite XP3's.

I used Retumbo with 180gr AB's reloads in my Sako m75 Greywolf 300WSM I previously owned.

for animals more than whitetail or muleys use 180s... the 150s are fair bit lighter an open.. thats standard cup an core projies...

in saying that im using Rem corelokt 150gr at the moment for Sambar(elksized), its tipped over Hinds an Young stags but havnt encountered a Mature with it, i hope to crack a few more smaller ones to test these pills but thats hunting!

my t3 has a prefence for 180,s. i shoot a 180 scirroco over 66.5 grns of imr 4350 win brass fed 215 primer. same load also works well with 180 acubond and 180 hornady il. i'm sure any sutable 180 would be fine with this load. aall bullets are loaded to mag length. bullets have a bit of a jump to the rifleing but it doesn't seem to hurt the accuracey.

I been noticing a difference between Winchester superx and Remington corelokt Factory rounds,
i looked on the velocity statements from both companys, an it says the corelokts should be faster at 3,300 something, an the superx at 3200 something. yet im finding with the superx the primers were flat! not the case with the Rems.

i thought that was odd

My Tikka T3 Lite camo stainless 300 wsm w/ 24" brl shoots 1/4" grps with factory Federal Premium 180 gr Barnes MRX. I am just collecting the brass ... I don't shoot piles of ammo, so it's good for now.
