I don't have pictures yet but I have seen the rifle in person and can say that it fairs at about 80 percent due to a couple scratches in the stock and some blueing loss on the barrel just ahead of the crown. Other then that it is a solid rifle and no cracks at the tang or other serious issues.........
I can't find to much online other then it is a poor mans weatherby.........and that doesn't help me with trying to find a reasonable value so that we can come to a deal on this thing......
I know what dies and brass are worth so that doesn't matter, but the rifle is a 7x57 mauser that has been rechambered to 7x57 improved, it appears that the barrel was set back at the time of the rechamber as the caliber stamp on the barrel is now hidden by the stock......so did that add value or remove it?
I will be able to get pictures if it helps but if the value isn't there without them then it's not worth my effort to go and get pics
is there anything particular I need to keep an eye out for on this rifle? are they good or just okay? that rear safety may be a issue for me, not sure yet..........
