Hello all,

We are working on some displays to have in the room during our PAL courses where we can educate these newcomers on all of the potential shooting disciplines.

Here is what I have so far:

Shotgun:

Trap
Skeet
Sporting Clay

Pistol:
Target
IPSC
IDPA
USPSA

Rifle:
Silhouette
F-Class
Service Rifle
Precision Rifle

Any suggestions or ideas of what I have missed would be appreciated. Also, if you have a contact who can fill me in on details if I am unfamiliar, that would even be better.

The suggestions are hopefully activities that are available in the Calgary area.

Regards,

JR

What about your regular 3 gun shoots. The type of shoots CHAS puts on, CDTSA hosts a bunch every year. I think shoots can be found in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat as well every year.

Also could mention different types of hunting game type vs firearm..
aka Big game - rifle (semi-auto/bolt/lever/single shot) shotgun (semi-auto/lever/single/pump)
same type of thing for upland, waterfowl, and small game.

Pistol & Rifle = CQB with the ORA.
My home range has A LOT of rimfire events for shooters of all ages, so maybe something rimfire related?
