Yes, I got the version without the adj cheekrest. And now, I find the stock one too low...

Anyone know if the Super Varmint or Tactical's adj version can be retrofitted to the Varmint?

Or another option? either some other aftermkt cheekpiece/rest... or ditch the stock and go aftermarket stock?

Ultimately, I guess a new stock is doable, but as I understand, aftermarket stocks for the Tikka are not easily available.

thanks...

Eagle cheekpiece. Straps on, and is very comfy. THat's what I put on my Tikka Varmint with 56mm scope! :)

The only downside is it must be removed to remove the bolt. But that's the same with any of them.

Also, the screw that holds the cheekpiece on can be removed, and you can put some spacers underneath to build it up, but again it must be removed before you can take out the bolt.

Or, get Ian Robertson to build you a custom stock (chaCHING - but nice!).

Look into either an eagle industries cheekpiece

or a similar one from getsometactical

they raise up the rest a good amount and the cheeck material is very comfortable.

Check out the SnipersCentral forums. Do a search in google for Karsten adjustable. It should come up in the first couple topics. You could go that route or you could just make your own out of a piece of Kydex. There is a step by step how to on TheHighRoad forums.

the TIKKA T3 TATICAL and SUPERVARMINT use the same stock as the varmint no fitting required. they are the same rifle only difference is that the tatical and super varmint are equiped with all the extra accessories that are avaible for the varmint. www.williamarms.net can have one orderd for you with in a couple of weeks.

Anyone know where I can buy an Eagle-style (cloth) or Karsten-style (hard saddle) cheek piece in and around the Montreal area? I've checked out LeBaron, Baron/Sport, as well as Dante's without much success...
