Hi, Trying to ascertain how D4350SSC shoots in comparison to IMR4350. Has anyone got any 6.5 Creedmoor loads they have already tried. I am using a Sierra 42gn hpbt. Thx rigrat

You'll be using more powder than IMR 4350 to get the same velocity. It can work very well in the Creedmoor, I use it in my 260 Rem

I’m using it in 6.5x55

It’s slower than IMR, closer to RL19
I’m often getting single digit spreads
Very impressed, wish I’d bought more.

I have used H4350 for years (not IMR4350), I have found D4350scc to be bulkier, and am using about a grain and a half more than I was with the Hf350; lightly compressed loads under a Hornady 95 gr V-MAX at 47 gr. in my 6.5 x 55. POI is about the same, but the groups have tightened up. I'm sold.

I ran into case capacity issues with it in my 7mm08, even with a compressed load it was not giving me the sort of velocity I wanted.

What other cartridges are people loading with this powder? I made a few loads for my 243win with it, but I haven't had a chance to chronograph them. I'm guessing it's well below factory velocity judging by the recoil though.

in 7mm cartridges, the sweet spot for D4350ssc will be 280 Rem, 280 Ackley, 7mm SAUM, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm WSM

It's a great fit in the 243 Win with heavier bullets, 25-06 Rem, 6.5x55, 6.5-284, 270 Win, 270WSM, 30-06 with heavier bullet weights, 300wsm, 300wm, 308 Norma, 338 Win Mag w/ heavier bullets

Thanks! I am using 100gr hornady BTSP in my 243, and I still have case capacity to go with that one so I'll keep trying it there. I have been thinking about getting a 30-cal magnum of some sort, so its nice to know it aught to work with that too considering I bought 5lb of it. lol
