Hi everyone I am thinking about buying a 9 mm 1911 Para Ordanance new pistol complete with fiber optic front site. I would really appreciate any info good or bad about this product. Any info would be kindly appreciated thank you all.

If you are looking at an LTC, I believe they have a "Polymer" coating that quite frankly isn't that good.

Good guns for the money, though, especially if you can find a deal on a used one.

For a SA gun, I'd suggest STI Spartan, they now make one in 9mm, and for the price and quality of the gun, no other make can touch it.

Para makes a decent gun... I like my lda+service was there when I needed it, always have said good things about para....but since they packed up and went stateside I can't seem to get ahold of them to ask so much as a simple question. I'll never buy another one.

I have a canadian made tac 4 hi cap 45 and love it. No problems yet, trigger id nicer then on my STI.

I have the LTC 1911 9mm and loooove it. I don't shoot IPSC standard division at all but if I did it'd be with that sweet honey. It shoots better than my Shadow.

Para vs. STI

I own two Para pistols and haven't had any major problems with either one. However, I think they're overpriced for what you get and Para's warranty service is, frankly, horrible.

I highly recommend STI. I have two STI pistols and both are sweet shooters - extremely accurate out of the box and completely reliable (never had one FTF or FTE in over 8,000 rounds). STI's technical/warranty services are second to none.:stirthepot2:
