Lee's Turret Kit is a pretty good starting press. It will do all your handgun loads and you can remove the indexing rod and do most rifle loads manually as well.
And once you do graduate to a progressive, your Turret will still do rifle loads and be a good backup should something happen to the progressive press.
I still use mine for revolvers since the Loadmaster is too fast and doesn't have enough tactile "feel" when doing the roll crimps.
It also doesn't munch primers when doing small primered NT brass like the progressive press does.
I also still do my match ammo on the Turret. Again, slower is sometimes better.
Practice ammo I don't care about as much so just go nuts on the progressive until I run out of bullets, primers or ammo boxes.
