just wanted some of my fellow CGN'ers input on stainless and blued mags. are there any pros or cons with either or is it just cosmetic with blued ones? any insight would be greatly appreciated:)

The SS mags don't rust and being shiny they are sometimes easier to find. In IPSC , mags get dumped on the ground and matches happen on rainy days, so your mags are going to get wet. If you don't clean, dry and oil them , the blued mags will start to rust, usually not a big deal it wipes off with no damage when you do get around to cleaning and oiling them ,if this is done in a day or two.

thanks for the input, i always thought it was the other way around that the blued ones wouldn't rust because of the finish, that it would only start rusting after the finish started to wear off. guess i'll be picking up the SS ones.

Just don't forget that while the mags won't rust, the springs will, and you won't see it if you don't take em down to clean em! Dead springs in a mag would suck if your in competition.
