Guys
I am looking for but cannot find any load data for Vihavouri N150 with Hornady 165 BTSP. I am looking to run this combo in my Remg. VTR .308 and my Savage 3006. Now there are listings for N150 for a 165 gr bullet but nothing for a hornady and there is some pretty big charge differences between the bullet manufactures. Could anyone send me a link or some info ?

I know I will get the "but why's" about this combo so here is the answers. I use the N150 in my target rifle, I like the powder and I can get it easier than most other powders around here, I am trying to stay away from having different powders around, the 165 gr bullet is all I need for any game around here and a bit more than I need for some.

A 165gr bullets is a 165gr bullet. Use the data for one for another.
The published data is developed in different rifles with different chambers, different barrels, different cases, different primers, different lots of powder, different measuring equipment, in different labs, with different legal advisers for liability. All of these things combine to give different published loads in different manuals.

Start at the starting load and work up. Use your brain and a chronograph to see if your pressure is getting there.

The only load data I segregate is that for jacketed lead core bullets and that for solid copper bullets.

You'll have to work up the load for each rifle. Like LUTNIT says, who made the bullet doesn't matter.
The .30-06 167 grain data on Vihtavuori's site will do for a 165. Use the Speer 165 grain data for .308.
