judging from Kev's pics my HSLD gear won't work with a Magpul stock. Damnit!

Definately won't. It does look kinda funky, but as mentioned, kinda the answser looking for a question.

The M93 is sort of a Chinese jigsaw puzzle, and that original type "alignment" / retention plate wouldn't go in the puzzle. If the makers wanted to have the QD button type swivel, they would have to incorporate it into the M93 parts, much the same as the swivel that dmented posted.

It probably could be done, if you knew a machinist who was willing to spend some time for you. Shoot, I've done waaaay more stupider, and costlier projects.. Get 'er done, and let us know how it works. Another CGN original.

I take it, that you would like/need a corresponding front swivel? Or were you thinking this as a single point sling? Or would a regular fixed swivel work with this? (defeats the purpose then, would it not???)

I like the idea of easy transition to left or right shoulders without messing about. I tried one awhile back and liked it. And none of you bozos have one so that would make me unique. Cuz you know I'm not already.
I've got a couple ideas to make it work though.

FWIW -for right to left side (or vice versa is your wrong handed) transitions keep the same hand position and just switch shoulders...
