I was wondering if anyone knows first hand what gun is a better gun. I hear that a .22 T/C classic (I like the silver lynx version) is much better than a Ruger 10-22. Can anyone expand on this first hand????

I don't have a .22 semi-auto and would like to get one. Can anyone tell me the pro's and cons of a T/C...as I never owned one before!

Thanks

Pro: The TC is what the ruger should be, out of the box. Better factory trigger, heavy target barrel and stock, robust 10rd mags, solid mount point for bases. Seems to be reliable. I don't have one, but I've shot a range mate's and he has no concerns. His likes Lapua super-club best. Iv'e watched him shoot it for years, it seems like a solid peice of kit.

Con: there are very few (if any) after market toys for this rifle. The rifle is expensive up front, the Ruger is expensive over the long term as you add/change parts.

On the other hand, the Ruger is cheaper, reliable and easy to home gunsmith into a tack-driver.

All depends on your plans...

My 2 bitz:
Buy the 10-22 if you want to spend money on it later.
Buy the .22 T/C classic if you want to buy something with out of the box performance.

:D
