Well here are some pics of my rifle and the .264 I've been talking about: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1011947-Family-Pictures-(my-hand-me-downs)
If you're interested.
I think I've almost come to a decision. My budget is tighter than I'd like and a Rem 700 is out. I was thinking of a 783 but changed my mind quickly because I don't like the look of it and while I'm sure it would do it's job, I want something a little nicer.
I've settled on a Weatherby Vanguard S2 Synthetic, I just can't decide exactly which calibre to pick, but I have it narrowed down to 7mm Rem Mag. I heard it described on the forum as a deer gun for the occasional elk /moose which sounds good to me. OR in .300 Wby Mag, simply because I already know what it can do and we already have all the dies and everything for it. If i go with 7mm I'll have to go buy that stuff too.
Whatever calibre I pick, I'll definitely be going with the vanguard.
