Hi
I am in need to manufacture a new rear sight blade. Does anyone know any gunsmith or micro size machinest that can fabricate one from drawings.
I am getting drawings soon.
It’s only about 3/4 inches wide by around 0.2 inches high but it has a retaining footing or square nose at the base so you can still adjust left or right for windage but it won’t fall out or lift.
Maybe a computer machinest.
I would make the strip about 4 or five inches long then slice off a few sight blade. Easier maybe to handle.
It’s for a S&W New Model 3 in that Target version. 38 - 44 caliber. Antique. From 1894.
Any advise as to who can do micro style work to the nearest thousandth of an inch would be appreciated.
Will also need the notch or U for the rear sight blade put in as well. I have the dimension for that off someone who has one.
