hello all , que#1 if i'm posting on the wrong place mods just wipe it out. i have a very nice no1mk111* 1916 dated BSA all matching that is about 98% orig finish . it is Canadian mk'd with the broad arrow inside a C on the leftside of the receiver and on theside of the buttstock above the brass mk'g disc. the only prob with the the rifle is the previous owner fancied himself to be a master woodcarver and carved what must only be an image of his pet badger in the throes of constipation . then he ground on the stock to make it more pleasing. would there be any place or someone who might have a replacement surcharged buttstock. i have items for trade. que#2 why are most if not all Canadian mk'd no1's BSA mfg ? thanks for your time..........Bob aka ratter179
