I will buy a TC Pro Hunter rifle with 28" barrel, like this but not 30-06, this spring.

For a moose hunting (300-350 yards max ) which caliber between 300mag et 338mag should be the best choice.

thanks

Another vote for the .338 Winchester Magnum. If it's raw power you need, why not go all the way and get the .416 Rigby  Then later you can sell it to me for way less than you paid  Sounds like a win, win to me ;) :D

300 Win mag should be more then enough.

After all they still have old timers out there dropping Moose with 30/30's with no problem.

I would want to shoot one before buying such a small rifle chambered for a powerful cartridge. If your mind is made up, the .300 probably won't do anything the '06 can't, making the .338 the better choice.

X2.....I couldn't aggree more!

Moose + 338 = Perfect Match
338 Plus stubby light gun = scope eye and maybe a fat lip. :runaway:

There are a lot of moose rifles I would choose before this one.......Whatever waxes your board man, but your new love is ugly and has a bad temper!

Good luck with her! :D :adult: :D
