As for 22, I would consider S&W 41. Good used one is 650-750, probably the best bang for the buck. Many shooters used it in competition, and that tells you something... Also, VERY good one is Russian Margolin, see http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193076&highlight=baikal

Np22 has cracked frame issues.
Save up and start with a glock 17. Get one with the rugular sights (no need for the adjusting sights)

The sights on the M&P are Novak Lo Mounts, they aren't adjustable but then no typical 9mm/40 needs the type of precision that adjustable sights give. Fixed sights can be adjusted if they're way off - you can replace the front sighted with taller/shorter blades and you can drift the rear for windage (best done by a gunsmith, AFTER you have confirmed that it's the gun not the shooter - most problems with shot placement are gripping issues on the part of the shooter) If your shots cluster low left and you're right handed, the odds are it's the shooter not the sights. Somewhere here there's a target that shows what's happening in those situations. If no one else chimes in with a link I'll try to send it to you.

Actually, I think i downloaded that handgun targer .. the circle that has all the things that u are prolly doing wrong around the target center.

I just bought the M&P today from Target Sports Center .. told the guy there I saw his link here, he was happy about that.

I forgot to ask while I gave him my credentials, but what exactly will my brand new 9mm M&P come with? Lock box? How many mags? Lock? Cleaning kit/brushes?

I kinda feel a bit embarassed I didn't ask... but I was really excited about my first brand new hangun

It'll come with 2 mags, case (lockable), manual, lock thingy and 2 different backstraps to adjust the grip size. For cleaning I use an Otis Kit ( pretty deluxe, but will clean rifles/shotguns and handguns and is very compact ) but with handguns almost any cleaning kit will work fine, just work from breach to muzzle. Congratulations, I'm sure you'll love the M&P they are a terrific gun.
