Hi All,

Taking my first ODPL training in a couple of weeks. Requirements include 3 mags. The pistol I'll use is a SW 1911SC .45ACP. I've got 2 metal mags right now, I'm looking for suggestions if I should consider plastic mags since they'll be dropped in the earth more than a few times during training and future ODPL sessions. Or do I stick with current metal versions and add 1 more metal for ODPL training?

Also, suggestions who has them in stock in/around Ontario for quick shipping next week, thanks in advance.

You must mean plastic bases, right? Many options for you, but also be aware that many people compete using traditional all-steel magazines. Unless you're dropping them onto concrete, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

If you want plastic bases, the major popular options seem to be Chip McCormick Power Mags or Wilson 47D. I use CMC, love them. But there is no way to tell if any particular magazine will work in your gun until you try them.

No idea of suppliers around TO, but I'm sure someone here does.
