Need recipe .338 Win Mag with Winchester Failsafe 230 gr

Anyone have a favorite load for the 338 Win Mag using the old Winchester Failsafe bullets in 230 gr? None of the manuals have data for these old bullets (of which I have a stash of 250 of them). I have a good selection of powders to choose from.

Anyone with experience with these bullets in the 338 chime in here please. thanks
 
It's been reported on CGN 439 times, just use the information for any .338 bullet of about the same weight as the bullet you have.

Bruce, it says on the failsafe package " Failsafe bullets are longer than other bullets of the same weight. DO NOT load Failsafe bullets to the same recommended powder charge as other bullets of the same weight". I have reloaded for over 40 yrs now & have experience with 41 different rifle calibers at last count. I do not have a Barnes reloading manual, & was hoping someone had experience with the Failsafe or Combined Technology bullets.
 
Here is a scan from Nosler 5th Edition - I believe what Nosler calls the "CT" bullets (Combined Technology) are the Winchester bullets you are referring to. As per H4831's comment above, note that Nosler lists identical loads for their 225 grain Partitions.

Thanks Potashminer. I have the Nosler 6th Edition, and it did not list the combined technologies bullets at all. Just the Nosler Partitions & the Accubond 225 gr. I did not have access to a Barnes manual, but I know that loading Barnes solid copper bullets to the same powder charge as comparable cup & core bullets can lead to dangerous pressure. A friend made that mistake with a .280 Rem bolt action. We had to beat the bolt open with a 2x4 & use a cleaning rod to get the brass out. You could no longer read the calibre designation on the case head. The gun was undamaged, but it made me leery & that is why I was looking for info.

I have printed the page you scanned & will trust Nosler's starting load for sure, working up gradually. Thanks again
