I got a promag mount off the EE, all parts were fine. It came with directions so I set my torque wrench to the specified torque but it stripped the main side screw. (the one that goes in receiver). This screw is 12-32 thread, and apparently very hard to find. Any sources on this screw?

Call fastenal and see if they can get you one, it will be high quality and not even 50 cents, you will just need to trim to length.

Mine did the same thing after repeated attempts to tighten the mount, with and without washers, lock washers, etc. That screw is very difficult to find, I went to many different fastening stores (including fastenal) without any luck at all.

I eventually just bought a decent scope mount that is installed by replacing the rear sight.

That hard to find eh?
Op,
Looks like the 10-25 dollar option is all you got.

Ok, Looks like I have to order from the states.. I guess I will call pro mag first and see if they will send one. They never replied to my email. Its a shame having to pay 25 bucks for a bolt.

I just saw this and I should update. I called pro mag and they were great, sent me a new hardware kit for free!
If you have this issue give them a call.
