Need short shotgun recomendation

I don't know how I feel about the 870 grizzly. I feel like it could let me down.

The grizzly is made buy Norinco it is a extremely Tough Shotgun shotgun I pack one fishing on the rivers in grizzly bear Country and wen I'm doing bear Monitor
The grizzly mag feed shotguns are horrible pieces of crap prone to jamming

The grizzly's are tanks, I wouldn't doubt them (tube mag) compared to anything else out there. I have heard the mag versions can be a little picky though. My big gripe on the grizzly is that it's HEAVY!

I would add another +1 to the single shots from Corwin. They also have had some nice o/u shorties and pumps as well.

I really wanted the ricol but they are sold out. The thing with a pump is it would also eject the adapter for different caliber and I'm afraid to lose it in the snow. I think a side by side ,o/u or single shot might be my best bet. I'll give it some thought and post with what I bought

Edited: I just noticed the ricol and sinsinati have injectors so it puts me in the same boat.

Corwin does a Ricol left. Martin is selling it as a scratch & dent at a discount.

a Little badger 22 and a separate shotgun that you like would be a lot hander in the long run

I have 5 22Lr rifles and 5 or 6 12 gauge shot guns. I'm looking for 1 firearm instead of lugging 2 around. Just something small , I thought about a combination O/U , 22/410 or something similar. But a small break open 12 gauge with 22lr inserts would be ideal I think. I can carry various loads of shot or buck for wolves or ptarmigan or 22Lr inserts for dispensing my traps and I can even use 12G flares

I would recommend the Stoeger coach gun supreme. It has interchangeable chokes which makes it one of the most versatile short shotguns around. Stick with the double trigger model.

Remington 870 Marine Magnum if must carry a shotgun to abuse and dispatch critters with fangs or claws. It's quite light for what it is due to the crazy light synthetic stock.

Trapping I just carry a 22mag, which will kill wolves fine (has many many times) up to 100 yards away.

Could not agree more. My Marine Magnum with ghost ring sights is light, fast, accurate & reliable..
