need some advice....

Hi fellows, I need a bit of advice. I have a couple .22's I have had for years now and have no idea what they are worth. One is a MAS Model 45 French military .22 5 shot repeater, training rifle. It shoots awesome! The rubber buttplate is missing but the steel plate is there and there are a few cracks in the forearm. I expect it may be rather rare here in Canada. I also have a Model #510 Remington Target Master single shot in nice shape other than a few dings in the stock from knocking around the gun room for years. Anybody have any rough idea what these guns are worth? Any help is appreciated.

I believe the MAS 45 didn't have a rubber buttplate, just the steel one you mentioned. I have had a few and they are great shooters. I would say $300-$400 for the MAs depending upon condition and how many magazines come with it. The Remington 510 should fetch in the $75 - $125 range, once again depending upon condition. By condition of course: bluing percentage left, bore condition, external pitting, wood surface, finish, cracks etc. Pics help a great bit in determining condition if you can post them on the board.

I'm wondering why everyone is so interested in the values of old guns as of late? It's a pair of old .22 rifles bud. They are meant to be used, and I'm sure were given to you to enjoy, and not worry about their value.
