need some cheap reactive target ideas?

^^ You'd need to mount a melon baller on the end of the barrel in case you run out of ammo. Keep in mind that melons are sneaky and often travel in packs. Environmental stress has also caused them to interbreed so watch out for hybrids the size of a watermelon but with the tough skin of a cantelope. I heard a girl was attacked by one of these while jogging.

buckshot may damage it, we found that bird shot didnt do much to a flying grapefruit, but a slug finished it off properly after it was thrown and missed twice. bastard thought it could avoid the certain death i had bought it for.

sounds like the southpark episode where they shoot at things after yelling watch out its coming for us or something along those lines. in that case yes it is good for that and defending against mellons of all shapes sizes and colors. :D i defended myself against an angry frog and several birds that looked aggressive and were plotting a bombing run at us.

i did however find it didnt like ejecting the winchestor clay shot shells too much, they kept coming out sideways and getting stuck that way. other than that she shot flawlessly

im gonna look into getting either a long stabbing knife like device for the end of the gun or one of those breaching attachments, just incase i run out. although that shouldnt be an issue, 4+1 in the gun with a future +2 in the works, 3 in the saddle, and 48 in the belt. im good for defending myself against several angry melons. we had one try and walk off on us, sounded like he was speaking german and tried to goose step across the field. made short work of him, sent his remains to his friends and family as a reminder not to mess with the guy holding the splatter gun

Try asking a grocery store about when they throw out old fruit and vegetables. You may be able to snag some cheap or extract it from the dumpster.

fill something semi solid with water and paintballs
eggs are pretty good too
i'm sure you could make some paper bricks ( there was a thread in the survival section) that might explode when you get a hit

im not very good with the shotgun yet so i need something large. i could hit a gold ball at 200 yards with my r700 but miss a fuken watermelon at 30 feet with a slug, lol

We used federal 3" 15 pellet buck from about 15 yds to give the best pattern. I told him to take it back to the store but we agreed it would look better back on the TV stand in his apartment
