Need some feedback on engraving

Hope to have some finished product in the next week with different options to show.

All black, black with engraving done and then clear anoed, or black with colored engraving.

I was thinking more along the lines of CeraKote in the engraving.

My suggestion would be to engrave it and leave it how it is after the engraving, and leave it up to your customers to colour in the roll marks with crayons in colours they would like. I see most companies do this, anyway.

The problem with engraving after anodizing is that the letters will lose their shine as they fill with crud. We engrave our control boxes after anodizing. They look amazing when clean but the lettering eventually turns brown and black as it fills with dirt, oil, etc.

Exactly, I have access to a grease pencil, I can make the engraving any colour I want.

I was thinking more along the lines of CeraKote in the engraving.

I included cerakote under "paint" in my earlier reply. I'd personally prefer the longer lasting protection of complete anodization. The Cerakote, epoxy paint or grease pencil colour can easily be applied afterward at the owner's discretion.
