Hey guys, I'm looking at purchasing my first AR-15 and I'd like some feedback of what would be a good deal or not.

Now I'm not looking to go 'all-out', as I am new at this but I don't want to purchase something horrible or that I cannot modify in time.

Now to start off, I have found this used Armalite AR-15 on the forums which is used, but I am not sure how much maintenance I'd have to perform to get it shooting good if any at all.

also, I've been looking at the ARMSeast Stag AR-15's and they look well priced for what I'd like to get.

Would it be more advisable to get the new one instead of the used one to prevent further hassle and problems?

I've also read that STAG has a bit better reputation then Armalite so I'm guessing that would also add to the benefit.

Any feedback/advice is appreciated

Thanks!

too buy or not?

For the extra 2 or three hundred i would buy the new Stag life time warranty
and you can pick what you want.I had a lower already and bought a upper
for 800$and now have a about 200$ more into it.

Screw the warranty. AR, Stag, Bushmaster there all good.
Buy used. its cheaper and nothing really wears out expect the gas rings, which are cheap and easy to replace.

Just my 2 cents

So you pieced yours together? since the ones from stag already come with the upper and lower sections or did you upgrade from the factory parts?

See thats what I was wondering...from what I've read about wear-out.
Hard to say which way to go with as for the extra spare change I could get some mods onto the used one or get the BNIB and have everything brand spanking new

+1

I bought a NIB 20 inch Stag from Armseast last year, was lucky to find a 16 inch Stag on the exchange forum here with 200 rounds through it for 1200$ shipped. Saved nearly 400$ on it instead of buying new. If you find great deals like that I say jump on it!
