Hi I am wondering when the last bullet gone through the barrel of my glock17c,how comes the slide sometimes was open but sometimes was closed and my friend's glock 17 (the slide) always remain in open situation, both of ours gun is new,is it something wrong with my mag or the way I shot ?I mean when the slide open you know all bullets had gone ,one more question what's the best way to remove some scratches on my .357 mag( it's stainless steel ) can I use the sand paper to remove it then what kind of sand paper I should use and what number, any help would be appreciate, thanks alot!!!

Try your friends mags from his G17 to see if the problem is repeatable.

Steelwool for the stainless problem.

Edit to add: What kind of 9mm loads are you using? Light reloads? Lighter loads might be a problem with the ported barrel.

O.K I try my friend mags to see how it's going tomorrow! I used reload from my friend ,not sure what Gr but he was o.k with his gun and used the same ammo
anyway thank you so much!!!

If the ammo is factory, sounds mag related, slide velocity is a tad bit lower on the compensated models I'd guess, with light loads this could be the reason as well.
I think there is something wrong with the mag cause I remember we were using factory ammo but my friend's gun is OK so I am going to use his mag to see tomorrow and find out the problem anyway thank you for all of your helpful info! thanks again.

1. No Sandpaper... you want the finest synthetic wool you can buy; go to RONA and buy some Extra Fine/Super Fine synthetic wool (Home depot would probably have this as well).

2. What ammunition are you shooting? Is it Winchester WINCLEAN? If yes, then I have experienced the same problem... change the ammunition.
