I've tried a number of the sponsors to no luck, mostly finding tacticool accessories. Looking for the following, any and all help would be greatly appreciated:

- Walnut stock and pump set
- Old riot-style heat shield
- 2+ mag extension
- A quality leather sling

Casey at TacOrd has plus 2 extensions, you will have to scrounge the EE for the wood, but be quick, they go almost instantly. Did Remington ever make a heat shield? That's a mall ninja add on, I'll bet

I've just sold the brand new set of wood on EE.
Keep looking and be fast.
BTW this kind of wood set is tacticool or at least used to be back in the days.
Older style Wingmaster is very similar to Police/riot wood.

- Walnut stock and pump set

+1 for Casey at TacOrd (probably just the mag extension from your list, but maybe wood). Great guy to deal with.

The factory +2 extension is nice and light and works perfectly well when it's set up properly. The "quality" (expensive) aftermarket +2 extensions are significantly heavier from what I've seen, and they change the balance of the gun quite a bit.

For your wood stock, be aware that some (most) of the wood forends are long enough that they prevent loading the mag tube with the slide rearward, and they prevent the use of a 6-rd sidesaddle. Not that I think you should do either, but some people like to have the option. The one pictured above is one of the "long" forends, for example.

I got a "police" wood stock set from Numrich. You might find other parts there, too.

What kind of sling are you looking for? You have many options...

Thanks for the suggestions guys, Ill check out those sites. Trying to shoot for an old trench gun/military look on the 870, wasn't a fan of the synthetic that it came with.

Found everything but the police-style wood kit. Anyone know of a vendor that could import or procure one?

Also, is there a way to achieve this look by hand or should I take it to someone? (video below, the polished blue look). I've got that standard matte black finish.

Try Numrich for the wood.

You can get that sort of polished blue finish, but it's a LOT of work. I refinished a +2 extension that had that same matte blue finish on the new Express 870s. It looked great and matched the bluing on the Wingmaster that it was for. But I won't do that again. For a receiver, it's a LOT easier to buy a Wingmaster, or to pay someone to refinish it for you.

Yea, that's all I seem to be finding anywhere - forends. Don't want to risk buying one if I'm going to be stockless for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the info alpining, I'll leave her as she is. Its my first shotgun, and if I had known about the Wingmaster I probably would have bought that first.
