Need some help on weapon mounted light systems

Chris Costa seems to be running a Surefire Mini Scout on a slightly shorter version of your carbine :)

Good stuff guys, thanks....

I've decided on the M300A for my M4S90 and the M952V for the MR223.
DS tactical has them and it fits my $1000 budget ( just!!!)
Now how about a good recommendation on a foregrip for both.

( the benelli has a B&T quad rail )

Again thanks in advance...

I am partial to the Surefire Scout at the 3 o'clock and a tape switch mounted at the 12 o'clock position. This keeps the light out of my way on the right side of the gun and forces a thumb over grip on the rail, which greatly improves driving the gun on target. Further to this, it keeps the switch in an ambi location so shooting with the opposite side around barricades allows the same grip for both hands.

I saw it in a Magpul video, so it must be true.:nest::stirthepot2:
YMMV

On my SR16 I'm running the pressure switch wedged in between the 12 and 9 o'clock rails. with the Scout offset between 12 and 3. Keeps things in tight and pushed out far while still allowing room for devices up top.

I like mounting the X300 at 12 the best.

I also like the control of mounting light at 9 with an offset mount and push button - but obviously there are a few drawbacks of putting the light on the left side for a right hand shooter.

Can anyone tell me about the mount on this rifle for the bladder switch?
It looks like a magpul product of some sort, that would certainly fit my needs..

Where can I find this in canada?? This definitely solves the bladder mount problem.

You can get the Magpul MOE from Blaxsun or you can get the surefire SR07 adapter from daves tactical

Since starting this thread, here's what I ended up with

Thanks to all who gave your time and advice.

Scrap the scout lights and dont even think about one with a ARMS mount... look at the Surefire X300 models on either a 12 o'clock or 3 o'clock position. Smaller, lighter, less wires, and still has a solid beam. Not to mention the fact you can switch between a rifle and pistol if required.

2 cents

How does this Magpul MOE accessory attach to a regular picatinny rail? It says it is made specifically for the MOE handguard and not compatible with other rails?

I had to modify it slightly in order for it to mount to the rail. I cut the tabs off the bottom and then zip tied it to a piece of rail cover. Not the best solution, but it works.

YMMV

On a stock Norc CQA with a Strikeforce RD and stock front sight, what is the easiest way to mount a Surefire 6P so that I can actuate it's tailcap button with my left thumb?

Thanks Hoddie! Might have to try that...

Depends on what type of fore end you are using but I would mount it in a Vltor scout mount in the 3,4 o'clock position if you are using a quad rail of some sort:

or if you are running regular hand guards:

if you want a cheaper version CAA makes a polymer mount version:
