Need some help reg Steven 305 .22wmr trapper

Ok so I've been searching for a a Williams peep sight to mount on the little firecracker

I want to mount it as far back as I can. Not where the existing stock sight is as it is too far forward line of sight

Can anyone help with specific peep sight models and model numbers

It's tricky because of the bolt throw. Savage has models that come with peeps but I'm not sure if you can mount them without drilling and tapping....

You could mount one similar to this if you don't mind it a bit further forward of the bolt (still better then the barrel mounted irons)

IIRC...for some reason I believe I read a post "somewhere" that someone successfully mounted a Savage Rascal peep sight on the receiver. You may have to get a taller front, however.

I was thinking about the rascal as well and I thought I saw one in a store that looked like it would work. It cantilevered out the back but I can't seem to find a picture of it online....the ones I see for the Rascal look like they attach to the side of the receiver.

Unfortunately the reciever isnt dovetailed

I saw a video on Youtube where a guy was able to mount the rascal sight with some mino smithing work

I was hoping someone here may know of a direct fit option
