Hello! I hope not to horrify anyone on this forum, who are very particular about their Enfields! LOL!

I have an Enfield that I am planning to order a replacement stock from boyds. I have filled out all the information on their website for the order of a P14 stock so far.

Boyds doesn't get very detailed on the stock inletting, as fart as dimensions go.

Is there very many different styles/versions of these rifles? (as far as stock inlettings goes)? I know the P17 (1917) is a very similar rifle, but, I specifically chose the p14 pattern.

I even called them to ask a few questions to verify my stock choices.

All I got was a person who has very little background to answer my questions! They were very busy, and it was useless to get ahold of anyone with any substantial experience!

Here are a few pictures of the rifle I was given by a coworker. I was very pleased to say the least! A new gun for me to tinker with! LOL!

Hope the pictures are of some help! I am hoping that I have chosen the correct profile from the boyds custom list. I look forward to your insite/help!

If there is any adjustment needed it will be in the magazine well. Everything else, inletting wise, between the P-14 and M1917 is identical.
Is there differences within the p14's in the magazine well?
Hopefully its not too much of an adjustment!
I have done my fair share of stock free floating, and glass/pillar bedding.

I would imagine that if the Boyds stock is inlet for the p14, then all is good. According to the order form, it should only be for the P14.

If the inletting was for the 1917 (p17), then the magazine would be longer to accommodate the 30-06 cartridge.

UPDATE!

Just Received my Boyds stock for my P14 Eddystone Enfiled! Man am I happy with it! They sure make a nice looking stock!

Now I just need to Glass bed the stock, and give her a try! Wohooo!

Here is a few pictures:

Sorry about the desk clutter!

After I glass bed the stock, I can hardly wait to give it a try! The comb style is much higher and allows my eye to set up with the open sights with a much higher degree of cheek weld! It will be way more comfortable to shoot!

very nice stock whats the cost of something like that shipped to canada i have a very nice reminginton p14 that i would like to put into one of those

DT: saw the gun over at Cast Boolits and was very impressed with the look. I have Boyd's laminate wood coming for my #4 Mk1* and can't wait .

You done good and that gun looks nice by anyone standards.

Thankyou sir! I can hardly wait to get her out to the range again!
I am looking into getting a custom trigger for her as well. Put out a whole new life/future for the old P14!
