Here is my list so far of tools I need. Is this a good start ?I wanted to get a RCBS kit but they all seem to be missing something...lol...
All RCBS, If you have any other suggestions let me know.
-M1000 MECHANICAL SCALE
-TRIM PRO 2 CASE TRIMMER
-TRIM MATE CASE PREP CENTER
-COMPETITION POWDER MEASURES
-ROCKCHUCKER SUPREME PRESS
-POW'R PULL BULLET PULL KIT
-APS STRIP LOADER
-APS BENCH-MOUNTED PRIMING TOOL
-Ultrasonic Case Cleaner
Given how gorgeous your bench is, I will assume you prefer the cry once buy once approach? I can offer ALL RCBS products but recommend very little as there are just so much better from other brands depending on the item. But if you are set on RCBS, then disregard
-M1000 MECHANICAL SCALE - Weighing range is massive and likely you will loose resolution with the light powder charges you will need. Ideally, a FX120I (or Gempro 250 or MACK 20). If you need a beam scale, Redding is decent. I started with a Lee balance and it got me on the podium a number of times. Scale error is scale error. For precision ammo, you need better resolution then a generic beam scale.
-TRIM PRO 2 CASE TRIMMER - Forster case trimmer. Less money and I feel a better product with more options I like the collet case holder and the options for outside neck turning. Easy to use, consistent and quality cutters. power adaptor is easy to add... 12V driver, life is good.
-TRIM MATE CASE PREP CENTER - Forster 3 in 1 trimmer/deburr head... all done in one step. Just add to the trimmer above... DONE. Primer pocket are so easily cleaned, I just use a Hrn hand tool... dirt cheap. If concerned about primer pocket depth, add Redding or K&M pocket reamers.
-COMPETITION POWDER MEASURES - Redding BR-30 or Harrell's. I use the Auto trickler with my FX120i and Lee powder scoop. If you want a Redding BR30 in great shape and good price, PM or email.... don't need it anymore. Lee powder measure has a very strong following when loading extruded powder... Really.
-ROCKCHUCKER SUPREME PRESS - Forster CO-AX... or.... Lee challenger breech lock press.. Really. If loading larger cases, then the Lee Classic cast breech lock press. I would avoid any press with a factory set cam over.. possibility for slop in the system.
For the 9mm, look at a decent progressive if planning to load a bunch.. Dillon is tops of the heap.
-POW'R PULL BULLET PULL KIT - assuming proper neck sizing, impact puller is plenty. Otherwise, collet puller but the bullet is likely damaged so...Side cutter pliers and recover the powder.
-APS STRIP LOADER
-APS BENCH-MOUNTED PRIMING TOOL - Lee hand primers... you have feel of the seating and that matters. Been the standard for alot of precision shooters for decades. Fancy options from K&M
-Ultrasonic Case Cleaner - Not a fan, consider a way to dry them, a way to lube neck (Redding graphite kit, imperial wax) - I prefer good old dusty walnut and tumbler. Plan B would be wet tumbling and SS media
Case annealer - Bench Source, AMP induction annealer, ... and others
Decent dies (RCBS need not apply) - Lee, Forster and Redding. If you really want to get fancy, Wilson and arbor press for the bullet seating stage.
Flash hole deburr tool.. RCBS is actually very nice. Or Lyman or K&M.
Good case lubes - RCBS case lube 2oz container.. Dillon spray (isopropyl Alcohol and Lanoline)
If you need gear, give me a pm or email to discuss... it is all possible.
YMMV
