Need some info on Parker hale .303

So does anyone know what model this is, or what it's worth?

I'd be greatful if someone could give me a rough estimate, I can't find too many canadian ads

Looks like my No.4 Supreme and I agree with the price range above, though they are firmly at the high end of that in decent shape. FWIW, mine loves Federal blue box 180gr ammo.

I hope this doesn't come across as beligerent but you haven't seen too many ads because nobody worries about a $100 Lee Enfield sporter. There is no shortage of PH Enfield conversions around.

The MilSurp guys want full wood etc. (and don't want a sporterized version) and the sporting arms guys want more than this.

I would have expected it to be maybe $140 to $200.

Looks Supreme to me and is certainly made from a No.4. I gave just over $300 for mine (with PH mounts) and that one is as nice. The reason you don't see many ads is that although there is no shortage of PH Enfield conversions around most of them aren't for sale.

ipscgraz if you see any for sale in a condition like that go ahead and buy them for $140, you can sell a couple to me at $200.


Later edit: I also have a PH No.4 Standard. The barrel is cut and properly recrowned just in front of the front sight (so no bayonet lugs, no restoring to original military configuration) and the forestock is cut back, front and rear handguards gone from on top of the barrel and the relevant bands removed. All else is standard - sights, magazine, rear stock, as you can see in the brochure Baribal has posted below. That's more like a $150-200 sporter.

Yes, I'd say $300 ish for that - I'm going to have to pick one up, it'll go nicely with my P-H No4 Competition Service Rifle

These are really good rifles and I think one in nice shape is worth $350 any day of the week. No comparison between one like yours and your average cut down Lee Enfield(which ARE $125 rifles). These guns have new wood(with proper stock dimensions) and new barrels, cut down mags for ease of carry and decent checkering. Plus the .303 British will and has flattened every critter in the world with proper bullets.

For those who want to determine their model designation;

Many think they have bubba'd L-Es but in fact they are "conversion" rifles from BSA, sold by Parker-Hale. They made similar models using both the No. 1 Mk III (*) and the No. 4 rifles.
