I just had a friend drop this off over the weekend and I have been looking for info on them with not much luck. What I would like to know is Value what they can be sold for and help with info on posting them when I do.
So the first one is a Mauser I think and it is in 6.5x55 the receiver is stamped carl gustafs stands gevarsfaktori 1901 I think it is a mauser made in sweden? I think it is a model 1894-or 96 (I say 1894)
the barrel is just over 18inches long the stock looks like it has been refinished and the rear sight has been replaced with what looks like a williams sight. The bore is good and it works good

The first is a Swedish mauser carbine. I don't know the value but they are fairly scarce in unmolested condition and are snapped up quickly. The second is a post war Czech K98k, very well built rifles that make great shooters. You don't mention if it is marked on the receiver ring( DOT, DOU, SWP or TGF) so I'm assuming it is a scrubbed refurb. Maybe containing Nazi marked parts or maybe all Czech. A lot of these were refurbished by the East Germans. Probably around $500 for that one. My 2 cents.

First piece ....

These old girls are rare and pricey. Make sure what you buy isn't faked, or is bubba job ... ;)

Is there a small addition on the front of the barrel crown extending it?

The second piece …

Most of the carbines have an addition on the barrel as it was determined that they were too short and a collar was soldered on. Our government works in strange ways. It will blow off in about 20 rounds or less.
These were imported and sold by International Firearms in the 70's.
