So with the new OIC, I don't really have a viable rifle left to use for service rifle. I don't really care to go buy another ~$2000 black rifle that'll likely wind up banned before next SR season.

But I've got this minty M1917 sitting here in a nice Boyd's walnut stock and while the stock sights are pretty good, they aren't quite good enough for a match. That's where I was wondering:

Where do I get a hold of a PH5B unit? So far my google-fu gives me nothing.

Hi Dave. e-Bay is your best bet. The P-14 was a popular target rifle before WW2 and thus the PH5B sights frequent the U.K. JOHN

Yeap, what john said. Try ebay.co.uk don't forget the try Australia and New Zealand. Offer to pay for extra shipping

You also can use an A.J.Parker TZ 3/53

this web site explains all Parker Hale rear sights and all the extras. The A.J.Parker TZ 3/53 is @ the bottom

15 or even perhaps 20, years ago, there was a mention in Precision Shooting magazine, that the first model rear sight for the BAR was adjustable for vintage and elevation and it would fit both the Pattern 14 rifle and M1917 rifles with little or no modification.
Numrich Arms was sold out shortly afterward.
