Me and my friends have been filming our hunts for a while now we have gotten some good footage and we are making up some dvd, I am just looking for some input from you guys on whether you are a market for these dvd, we would be selling the dvd's for 5-10 shipped pending shipping prices and the dvd will be 30 min - 60 min long which will also effect price, but what im wondering is if you would purchase any of these dvd, they are not professional by any means but the camera work is decent and mostly done from a tri-pod and the bear hunting we have so far is pretty exciting which is archery spot and stalk and rifle hunting and is all edited of course with commentary and music so please vote and post your honest opinion if you would like. Thanks for your feed back!

I wouldn't be interested because i don't really enjoy watching other people hunt, to me hunting is about the enjoyment I get out of being in nature myself.

Many might enjoy the videos, more power to them just not my cup of tea.

Ever considered launching a Youtube channel? If you become a partner channel, there is the ability to make some money from embedded ads. MORE people will see your vids, too! Plus you could branch out and do some other types (gear reviews, tips etc) of hunting related videos if you wanted.

15 to 20 bucks is way too much, a new release movie is that much and the budgets on those films are in the 100's of millions.
A dvd costs .05 cents now adays, so anyone can make an amateur movie, you would have better luck sporting all one type of clothing or equipment and try to get sponsored, but then again thats a long shot.
i'd say maybe try to sell them for 5 bucks, at local stores, cause i can watch on satellite hunting all day long, and those are some cool shows with hot girls and guns

Seeing some raw and actual unstaged hunts that take place in the real world instead of a game farm or lodge that costs $10,000.00 per day might be refreshing for a change. Most of the hunting shows on the box are a lot like wrestling. Entertaining, yes but realistic, not so much.

You can buy a HS video from Lebaron for like 9 bucks, so I think 15-20 is a little steep. I'll pay maybe 3-5 bucks to pay for your trip, but thats about it.

Thanks for the input i adjusted the price, im not really sure how much dvd cds cost but we will be making them regardless and i will probably throw a few up for sale, i watch wild tv all day long as well but even watching these hunts of ours over and over again on film still gets the adrenaline going a bit, and these hunats are very realistic that most hunters can relate to not like going on a guided hunt up in alaska or going for a guided hunt in africa, these hunts are all non guided.

great project. be neat to see. For my 2 cents worth. SKIP THE MUSIC. Not sure what your sound track is like but the trend toward using heavy metal etc as back ground noise makes most amature video unwatchable.

Concentrate on capturing the sounds of hunting and let the viewer enjoy both the audio and the video.

As for commentary. Pics are worth a 1000 words and video a few more. If you can't tell the story with pics chances are some voice is just going to make the whole thing extra aggravating. No one cares what 'billy' thought or why you did what you did.

Consider how few people pick up a volume of Hemingway, Roosevelt or Bell and you'll have a pretty good idea of how little folks care for thoughts and explainantion. Unless you can hunt Kudoo and tell the tale with Hemingway keep your thoughts to yourself. Focus on what you do well: record video, record audio, hunt, organize, edit etc.

Often the trend in these videos is to make them a 'teaching' tool. Skip it, document the beauty, adventure, trials, successes of the hunt and leave the teaching out.

My apologies if you have on your post production team a great writer and 5 piece band LOL.

Great idea and tons of potential just make it art and not filler for a sequence of commercials.
