new to pistols, just waiting to get my rpal finally in the mail then i'm off to the shop!
i'm a left handed shooter and i've been looking at pistols that have ambidextrous controls.
I would like to shoot someday in production class and i'm looking at the cz 85 and M&P 9. Any thoughts? Any other ambidextrous guns that i've over looked?

Hi on medic,
possibly lots of options, but consider the sti gp6( grand power k100) done really well in europe, so sti bought it here.
Fully ambidextrous, gorgeous sa/da trigger, light recoil, simple field strip.( haven't done a major one yet) Feels great in my hand and the later versions have changeable palm swells.... Oh and great sight accuracy straight from the box...
Shoot one if you can!

just not sure about the trigger, seems like alot of travel. I could only find the GP6 in the competition section on the website and thats where the link doesn't work. I can't find any info on the sights that are standard with this pistol or if you can get back straps, i have small hands. I don't know anyone who has one, pretty much any gun i buy will be a bit of a leap of faith. Sure are alot of happy M&P owners though. I hear alot about the axis trigger, does it still have that travel, i think its just part of the trigger safety?

Hi onmedic,
Sti gp6 new model has fibre optic front sight, adjustable rear, three different palm swell sizes! Intigrated tactical rails, ambi thumb safety, and user changeable mag release...
Is used for ipsc/ uspsa/ Idpa/ And NRA action shooting....
Still for sale at freedom ventures For under 700$ + the juice.
Oh and I love mine........

have you found any issues with it needing to be cleaned alot in the 200 round area? just watched a review with a gentleman who found if it wasn't very clean it started having issues with feeding or ejection issues in that 200 round area. its a nice looking gun and by all accounts i've read so far very accurate and tight tolerances that you'd find with very high end pistols

go for the cz85 either in fixed sights or the combat adj sights. Really great gun for the price. Im a lefty aswell and thats what I did, thing is perfect for us southpaws

read alot of reviews on the GP6-C last night, seems like a very nice gun, some heads up reviews with other guns like beretta, it seems to be a very very high end gun in the competition level in production, for the money. This pistol really has me thinking. I think its come down to the m&p, GP6 and CZ85 combat. My problem is the only pistol i have access to is m&p, the other two will be a leap of faith. lots of cz75's around but not 85's. They would be the same frame for grip and feel correct?
