Need some technical help with a savage 24b-dl

So I bought a very nice 24b for a good price a few weeks back. Today I took it out shooting and there is a issue it won't fire the rifle barrel and the selector in any position will fire the bottom barrel it's a 22mag over 20ga. Tonight I tore it apart and I think I found the problem but I have no experience with this gun. Here is a picture of the metal tang that is attached to the selector. I imagine it must be missing a peice.








Any help is appreciated and if anyone knows of a source for parts that would be awsome.

That'd be the problem. Numrich out of the States is likely the one to hit up.

Thanks tokguy. I lucked out and of the 3 different types the only one they had in was mine so I bought 2.

Western Gunparts is worth a call. I've got a couple of the early model from them. Not cheap, but it would be a pain to have to make one.

I paid $50 for the two and another $50 in shipping but that's ok I'm just glad I could get parts.

Or you could have bought the hammer with the integral selector. Never had a issue with one of them. But have had with the early button selectors.
