Need suggestions for new big game rifle

Not sure where your from but there are places in B.C. now where guides have a 300winmag. as a min. for Elk,new X-bolt in 300 and sell the BLR.-usally sell quick .Pick up a .243 for deer,coyotes etc.
 
OP of your list of choices, the mod 70 is, in my opinion, head and shoulders above the others. But as indicated it must fit you, I'm lucky, because my frame is exactly what the manufactures had in mind when designing rifle stocks. Almost every factory stock fits me quite well, so I can buy Rem, Win, Sako whatever and get an almost perfect fit out of the box, but if you are not so lucky then fit is crtical. The only thing I find is differing forearm thicknesses cause me to ya or nay a rifle, I hate big fat forearms on a hunting rifle stock. I would highly recommend the Mod 70 Featherweight or supergrade, the others I have no experience with but I'm sure are good shooting well fitted rifles.

Have you or any of those people broke the mag? There are incredibly strong and to break them you need to be doing something you should never be doing with a gun. If you did whatever the hell you do to the same mag in metal you would bend it making it non useable too. Either way, the Ruger and M70 will never shoot with the accuracy a Tikka does out of the box, sorry. Everyone has their opinion but Ive never heard of a 5 shot MOA guarantee from Ruger or Winchester.

I never said it was breakable, just flimsy. It's also a ripoff, for example, Pmags are way better built (stronger, the follower doesn't bind or flop around) using similar materials and are larger and they cost $25. Tikka mag is $80 ish.

Also, accuracy guarantees are baloney. Ever tried to hold a mfg to one? I can tell you Stoeger Canada's procedure if you want. Every Tikka out of the box has just as good a chance as any Ruger or Winchester at being a shooter. Most all rifles can shoot 1" groups out of the box now a days, some rifles a bit better , some need a small bit of work to get there (trigger, bedding) and some are dogs regardless of the manufacturer.

I'm not saying Tikkas are bad rifles, they just have some traits that some shooters may find less than desirable.
 
I wouldn't buy a rifle for hunting that needs work (trigger, bedding, etc) right out of the box for you to be happy with it or be able to get decent accuracy like some have suggested in this thread, having the rifle fitted to you is one thing but features and accuracy that need work right out of the box are not acceptable to me unless there is nothing better out there. IMO this is where the line "you get what you pay for" comes in to play.
